Visit Us

My wife Ros and I welcome visitors to our garden, Sandhill Farm, Hampshire by appointment. Although the garden is at its peak in May, June and July it still looks good through August. In September the meadow is cut, but from the end of the month the autumn colour starts to develop. October is often our most colourful month when we welcome groups for morning or early afternoon visits.

Our garden is around 2.5 acres in area, a sloping hillside on light, slightly acidic, sandy soil.  The planting is naturalistic with a large area of meadow and a wide variety of trees, shrubs and perennials.  We are particularly proud of our flowering dogwoods which are a wonderful sight in early summer

The terrace features numerous pots and containers; there is a small gravel garden and two ponds.

Group Visits

Groups are typically 20 to 50 people. We can accommodate a coach and have parking for several cars on the drive, others on the lane. Andy will give a guided tour of the garden for about an hour, explaining its development and introducing the plants.

Daytime visits include tea or coffee, cakes and biscuits. Evening visits; wine and nibbles.

Cost £10 per head daytime, £12 a head evening - (minimum charge £200)

We have plants and books for sale.
